Stretch Marks and their prevention

It mainly affects the thighs and lower abdomen. Pregnant women are more susceptible to these scars and must take precautions to avoid them. Hormonal fluctuations are the blame for these scars. Stretch marks can arise following rapid weight gain or loss, quick muscular growth, or growth spurts during adolescence, in addition to pregnancy. Long-term usage of corticosteroids on the skin can result in stretch marks.

Types of stretch marks –

Stretch marks can be red, pink, purple, or reddish-brown in hue when they first emerge. Stretch marks seem somewhat bulged and elevated in the early stages. They are frequently itchy and inconvenient.

Stretch marks, like many other scars, are permanent. They may grow less apparent over time, but they do not vanish. Itching can be relieved with treatment, and stretch marks can be lightened. Before using any cream or prescription, you should check your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

There is no ointment, lotion, or gel that can entirely remove stretch marks. However, if you want any of these to work, you must:

 • Apply the product as soon as stretch marks appear.

• Apply the product on the stretch marks and massage it in.

• To achieve a result, use the product daily for weeks/months.

Take time to massage properly so that the gel gets into the scars. Choose a stretch mark lotion or gel that contains vitamin A, hyaluronic acid, and Centella Asiatica. Stretch marks can also be treated with a sugar scrub, coconut oil, and aloe vera gel.
